Shantiniketan - a school in the traditional Gurukul system founded by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore in 1901. Tagore's vision was a world where man will exist in perfect harmony with nature.

Nearby excursion points are Bakreswar (58km), Massanjore (75km), Tarapith (88km), Jaidev Kenduli (30km). Holi or Basant-utsav is the most popular festival here, observed with all colours and fervor.
